Speakers:
Dr. Anish Shah, MD, is a practicing hospitalist in Milwaukee who also works in clinical informatics, helping bridge patient care and the electronic health record. He is a clinical expert with RhythmX AI, where he works on developing and evaluating AI tools for health systems.
Dr. John Frownfelter brings more than 20 years of physician executive leadership experience at the intersection of clinical care, health information technology, analytics, and care transformation. He has held senior Health IT and clinical leadership roles within large provider organizations, including Henry Ford Health, UnityPoint Health, and Trinity Health, and has extended that experience through consulting and work with healthcare technology startups.
His expertise spans organizational care transformation, clinical change management, digital health strategy, analytics-enabled decision support, and the practical adoption of technology to improve care delivery. Board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Frownfelter began his career as an academic physician before moving into executive leadership roles focused on helping healthcare organizations use data, technology, and clinical intelligence to improve outcomes, efficiency, and clinician experience.
At RhythmX AI, Dr. Frownfelter leads clinical strategy, guiding how the platform is applied in real-world care settings to support clinicians, improve decision-making, and advance scalable AI-enabled care delivery.
Program: Healthcare organizations are under pressure to adopt AI and digital health tools quickly, often before the evidence has caught up. Join us to learn why clinical validation is the foundation of safe, effective, and trustworthy AI in provider organizations. When validation is missing, tools can produce inaccurate or biased outputs, add to clinician burden, erode trust, and create real risk to patient safety.
Join Dr. John Frownfelter and Dr. Anish Shah, physicians with GW RhythmX, for a candid conversation about what responsible validation looks like in practice. Drawing on their clinical experience, they will cover the risks of skipping or shortcutting validation, the parts of a rigorous validation process (from clinical evidence and real-world performance to ongoing monitoring and governance), and the key questions health systems should ask vendors before and after deployment.
All provider systems will come away better able to evaluate AI and digital health tools, set clear expectations with vendors, and build a validation approach that protects clinicians and patients.
Registration: Free for Chapter Members; $35.00 for non-members Registration is required:
