Clash 48 and 49 were two of the most unpredictable and unforgettable nights in CCW history! After the main event ended in controversy and Scotley Crue was able to steal a victory over "Rugged" Rick Owens for the NBWA Heavyweight Championship, the challenge was laid out for a rematch on Night 2 with no disqualifications. Unfortunately for the former champion, not only was Crue able to retain but the night ended with Owens in a medically fragile state following a devastating, brutal onslaught. Owens' neck has been severely injured and we will hopefully have an update on his condition soon.In order to receive that rematch, Owens had to give up his second-most prized possession, the NBWA River Valley Title. Because that championship is now vacant, it will be up for grabs in this year's Monster Mash Rumble! This makes the annual contest the most important one to date! With the River Valley Championship at stake, we will be sure to see everyone pull out all the stops. With the additions of newcomers Bradford Montague and Pretty Ricky Willdy, it's set to be a rumble no one will forget!
In the women's division, Salem Wilder was able to hold off challengers in the form of Layla Wilde AND Vanessa Kraven. Stormie Hale unfortunately came up short with both Wilde and Kraven despite a solid effort on both counts. This month, Sage Mo and Wanda Del Rey join the fray. Could Salem's championship be in jeopardy again when she goes one-on-one with Del Rey? And how will Stormie fare with the impressive Sage?
And what are we to make of the strange videos that aired last month? This fella from Zealand named Leiland Boggs? Will we see the debut of this mysterious new star?
Be sure to join us on Saturday, October 17th at the Fredericton Exhibition grounds for all the action!
