Local volunteers in Buffalo will meet on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Buffalo Central Library to advocate for action on climate change. They are a chapter of the grassroots organization Citizens’ Climate Lobby which works to build political will for climate change legislation.Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that brings
together volunteers from across the political spectrum to advocate for legislation to help reduce carbon pollution with the speed needed.
Last year has been confirmed as the world's hottest year on record, and the U.S. is feeling the cost of the climate crisis after being hit with a historic number of billion-dollar disasters in 2023.
CCL’s priority is for Congress to pass comprehensive permitting reform and the Fix Our Forests Act in this session.
