Christmas with Glass and Light Studio - Create Your Own Festive Decorations!
Looking for a fun and creative way to get into the Christmas spirit? Join our festive Fused Glass Workshop and discover the magic of creating beautiful decorations from colourful glass!
Perfect for beginners, this workshop is a chance to try something new, get creative and make something truly unique – no previous experience is needed!
What to expect:
- A fun, hands-on introduction to fused glass.
- The opportunity to design and create up to 3 beautiful Christmas decorations.
- A relaxing, creative experience in a friendly and welcoming environment.
- The chance to make something special for your own home or as a handmade gift for someone you love.
Workshop details:
- Duration: 2 hours
- 10am - 12pm on 7th November, or 4pm - 6pm on 21st November
- Suitable for beginners
- Adults aged 18+
- Create up to 3 festive decorations
- All materials are provided
- Standard coffee and tea will be available for free, or you can purchase specialised drinks from the Cafe, or, please bring your own if you prefer
Whether you're looking for a new creative hobby, a unique festive experience or simply some time for yourself, this workshop is the perfect way to add a little handmade magic to your Christmas.
Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy, and don't forget to wear closed-toe shoes.
Your creations will be taken away to be fired, and will be available for collection a few days later, or can be posted to you for an additional cost.

Meet Kat – The Glass Artist Behind Glass and Light Studio!
Hi, I’m Kat Jurczenko, the maker behind Glass and Light Studio, where colourful glass, creativity and a little bit of magic come together!
I’ve been creating glass art since 2015, which means over a decade of turning pieces of glass into something beautiful (and occasionally wondering why I thought that particular design was a good idea!). From sparkling suncatchers and festive decorations to jewellery, I love creating pieces that catch the light, brighten up a room and make people smile.
A few of years ago, I fell in love with fused glass – the art of arranging colourful pieces of glass and letting a kiln work its magic. I’m mostly self-taught, learning through experimentation, curiosity and the occasional happy accident. Because sometimes the best creations happen when things don't go quite to plan!
Now, I’d love to share that passion with you.
Never worked with glass before? Perfect! You don’t need to be an artist, have any experience or possess magical creative powers. Just bring yourself, a little curiosity and a willingness to have fun.
At my workshops, you’ll get to play with colours, experiment with shapes and create your own unique glass pieces. Whether you’re making something for your home, a gift for someone special or simply an excuse to do something different for a couple of hours, you’re very welcome.
My aim is simple: to help you discover just how much fun making things with glass can be – and hopefully send you home feeling proud of what you’ve created (and possibly a little obsessed with glass, like me!).
So, come along, get creative and let’s make something that shines!
