We're turning December's Asheville Swing Night into a Christmas Sock Hop!Join us for a fun, festive evening of dancing to swing, rock 'n' roll, rhythm & blues, and holiday favorites. We're bringing together the music and spirit of the swing era and early rock 'n' roll for a night of great music, dancing, and holiday cheer!
🎉 Never danced before? Perfect!
We'll kick off the evening with a beginner-friendly Jitterbug lesson. Learn some classic swing dance moves that you can use all night long.
No experience or partner needed! We rotate partners during the lesson, so it's a great way to meet new people.
Then we'll open up the dance floor for a lively mix of music, from vintage swing to early rock 'n' roll and beyond.
Whether you're a seasoned swing dancer or just want to try something different this holiday season, everyone is welcome!

📍 Haw Creek Commons, East Asheville
🕖 7–8 PM: Beginner Jitterbug Lesson (with Franklin & Deb)
🎶 8–10:30 PM: Christmas Sock Hop (with DJ Sara)
🎟️ $10 per person (includes lesson and dance)
💃 Ages 12+
Festive attire and vintage-inspired outfits are encouraged, but absolutely not required!

🚗 PARKING 🚗
We have a large onsite parking lot. If it's full, overflow parking is at Haw Creek Elementary School. Then please walk across the field to our dance.

A beautifully restored historic building featuring:

FOOD & BEVERAGES
No alcohol is allowed by the venue, but feel free to bring your own snacks or non-alcoholic drinks. There is a water fountain in the hall by the bathrooms. Please help keep the space clean by using the provided trash bins.

Asheville Swing Night is an independently run dance. Our mission is to grow the local swing dance community by offering regular dances and swing dance lessons in a warm, welcoming environment.
