CHRISTMAS IN EDINBURGH — 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS
Thursday 24 December – Sunday 27 December 2026 Leaving from Gatwick Airport
Are you bored of the same ole same ole during the Christmas celebrations? Join us in Edinburgh a perfect opportunity to enjoy the festive season with others in the same boat, come solo or with friends, 99% of our guests attend our events alone and make new friendships.
Join us for a festive Christmas getaway to beautiful Edinburgh, with Christmas markets, sightseeing, a special Christmas Day lunch, festive lights and some of the city’s best attractions.
Thursday 24 December — Arrival & Christmas Eve in Edinburgh
Travel to Edinburgh in the morning and make our way to the hotel to check in or leave luggage.
Once everyone is settled, we’ll head into the city centre to enjoy the festive atmosphere and explore the Edinburgh Christmas Market at East Princes Street Gardens.
There will be time to browse the stalls, enjoy seasonal food and drinks, take in the Christmas lights and, for anyone who wishes, ride the Big Wheel for fantastic views over Edinburgh.
We’ll then explore some of the city’s most famous areas, including:
Princes Street • George Street • St Andrew Square • Victoria Street • Grassmarket • Royal Mile
In the evening, we’ll enjoy a Christmas Eve group dinner, followed by drinks for anyone who would like to continue the evening.
Friday 25 December — Christmas Day
Enjoy a relaxed Christmas morning with breakfast at the hotel.
As many attractions close on Christmas Day, we’ll keep the day relaxed and sociable, beginning with an optional hosted walk through central Edinburgh.
Weather permitting, we can head towards Calton Hill for panoramic views across the city.
The highlight of the day will be our special Christmas Day lunch, where we can sit back, enjoy a traditional festive meal and celebrate Christmas together. FULL DETAILS TO FOLLOW FOR CHRISTMAS MEAL
The rest of the afternoon and evening will be free to relax at the hotel, enjoy drinks with the group or simply take some time for yourself.
No rushing around today, this is about enjoying Christmas in good company.
Saturday 26 December — Boxing Day: Royal Yacht Britannia & Christmas Lights
After breakfast, we’ll head to Leith to visit the famous Royal Yacht Britannia.
Step aboard the former Royal Yacht and explore the State Apartments, Royal Bedrooms, crew quarters and other areas while learning about its fascinating history.
Allow around two hours for the visit.
Afterwards, there will be time for lunch before returning to central Edinburgh.
In the afternoon, we can return to the Christmas Market for shopping, festive food, drinks and attractions.
In the evening, we’ll visit the beautiful Christmas at the Botanics light trail, where the gardens are transformed with illuminated displays, colourful installations and festive music. Additional fee price TBC
Afterwards, return to the city centre for dinner and drinks.
Sunday 27 December — Edinburgh Castle & Old Town
After breakfast and check-out, we’ll spend our final day exploring more of historic Edinburgh.
We’ll begin with a visit to Edinburgh Castle, one of Scotland’s most famous landmarks.
Explore the castle grounds, historic buildings, Crown Jewels and enjoy incredible views across the city.
After the castle, we’ll continue down the Royal Mile, with time to explore:
St Giles’ Cathedral • Victoria Street • Grassmarket • historic closes and courtyards
There will be time for lunch, shopping or one final drink before collecting our luggage and making our way home.
