This isn’t just a New Year city break, we’ll be staying at a beautiful hotel perfectly located in central Porto and within easy walking distance of the New Year celebrations.
After a busy day exploring Porto, sampling Port wine or enjoying our Douro Valley adventure, you can head back to the hotel, change into your robe and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation.

Imagine celebrating New Year’s Eve in the heart of Porto, waking up on New Year’s Day to a leisurely breakfast, and then having the option to enjoy the pool, hot tub, sauna and hammam before heading out to explore the city.
No rushing. No spending New Year alone. Just a fabulous 5-star break, great company, sightseeing, wine, good food, relaxation and plenty of fun.

Spa facilities are included as part of our stay. Spa treatments and massages are not included and will be charged separately if booked.
This trip will go ahead once we have received a minimum of 4 deposits. As soon as the minimum number is reached, flights and accommodation will be booked.
If we do not receive at least 4 confirmed bookings, the trip will be cancelled and all deposits paid will be fully refunded.
This is a small hosted group trip for a maximum of 10 people, so spaces are limited.
ITINERARY
Thursday 31 December – Arrival & New Year’s Eve 🎉
Fly from London Gatwick to Porto (OPO) and transfer to our hotel.
After check-in, enjoy some free time to unpack, relax and meet the rest of the group before getting ready for the evening.
We’ll enjoy a special New Year’s Eve dinner, either at our hotel or at a restaurant close to the city centre, before heading to Avenida dos Aliados for Porto’s main New Year celebrations.
Expect a fantastic atmosphere with music, entertainment, the midnight countdown and fireworks as we welcome 2027 together.
Perfect if you fancy getting away for New Year, meeting new people and experiencing Porto without having to organise everything yourself.
Come solo or bring a friend, you’ll be part of the group from the moment we meet.
The official 2026/27 New Year entertainment programme will be confirmed closer to the date, as the hotel has not released any information as yet
Friday 1 January – Relaxed New Year’s Day 🥂
After a late breakfast, we’ll enjoy a relaxed start to the New Year.
Later, join us for a leisurely walk through some of Porto’s most famous sights, including:
Avenida dos Aliados • São Bento Station • Ribeira Waterfront • Dom Luís I Bridge
We’ll cross the bridge into Vila Nova de Gaia, where you can enjoy beautiful views back across Porto, stop for lunch or drinks and soak up the atmosphere.
There will also be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities.
Saturday 2 January – Douro Valley, with wine tasting and lunch Full-Day Excursion
Today we leave Porto for a full-day adventure through the spectacular Douro Valley, famous for its vineyards, dramatic scenery and Port wine production.
Our planned excursion will include:
• Return transport from Porto
• Visits to local wineries
• Wine tastings, lunch
• Traditional Portuguese lunch
• Scenic Douro River cruise around Pinhão
• Beautiful viewpoints and countryside
This will be one of the highlights of our New Year getaway.
Sunday 3 January – Porto Highlights, Six Bridges Cruise
After breakfast, we’ll explore more of Porto, including:
Bolhão Market • Rua de Santa Catarina • São Bento • Ribeira • Porto Historic Centre
We’ll then enjoy the famous Six Bridges Cruise, a relaxing journey along the Douro River taking in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia from the water.
In the evening, join us for our final hosted group dinner, followed by drinks and music for anyone who would like to continue the evening.
Monday 4 January – Breakfast, Free Time & Return to London ✈️
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.
Some free time for last-minute shopping, coffee, souvenirs or a final stroll around Porto before transferring to Porto Airport (OPO) for our flight back to London Gatwick.
