Chirk Aqueduct 225-year Anniversary Celebration

Join us for a very special evening at Chirk Castle as we celebrate 225 years of Chirk Aqueduct – one of the great landmarks of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and an incredible feat of engineering which has shaped the landscape and communities around Chirk for more than two centuries.

Hosted by Wrexham’s own Sian Lloyd, this free family-friendly event will bring together music, film, food, history and community for a memorable autumn evening.

See a very special lantern parade featuring local primary schools, bringing light and colour to the grounds of Chirk Castle as we celebrate this remarkable anniversary.

🎬 Premiere of our new Chirk Aqueduct film

Be among the first to see our brand-new film created especially for the 225th anniversary, telling the story of Chirk Aqueduct, the people connected with it and its significance over the past two centuries.

🎶 Fron Male Voice Choir – live

Enjoy a live performance from the renowned Fron Male Voice Choir in the wonderful surroundings of Chirk Castle.

🏰 Explore Chirk Castle

Selected rooms within the castle will be open during the evening, offering a special opportunity to explore this historic setting after hours.

🍴 Food & refreshments

A selection of food stalls will be available during the evening, so come hungry!

**Entry to the event is FREE, but advance booking is essential.**

Parking at Chirk Castle is extremely limited, with only 250 parking spaces available for the event. We strongly encourage visitors to car share wherever possible.

If you require on-site parking, you must add a free Car Park Ticket to your Eventbrite booking in advance. Parking tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

**Please note: there will be NO access to the Chirk Castle event car park without a valid pre-booked Car Park Ticket, and there will be no event parking permitted on the surrounding lanes.

Please help us make the evening run safely and smoothly by travelling together wherever possible and only bringing a vehicle to the site if you have secured a parking ticket.
