Come and experience an overnight stay in the Waitakere ranges at the ASC hut. Have fun with your host, Sue, making bush bivvies, map reading, and compass navigation. There will even be time to roast some marshmallows. This is not your typical doc hut. The ASC hut has a fireplace, comfortable lounge, and a well stocked kitchen (appliances and utensils) to whip up your bush meals.
Don't feel comfortable staying overnight? Just come for the day and check out the facilities.
Whos this for?
This event is aimed at 7-11 year olds (and their parents) who want to learn basic bushcrafts.
Where and When is it?
9:30 am Saturday to approximately 2:00 pm Sunday at the ASC Waitakere Hut, on Anawhata Road.
Costs
Bring your own food.
Simply pay for your day stay or nights accommodation at the hut.
