About this Event
We're delighted to be partnering with Upperthorpe Library, at Zest, and our Children's Writing Club, to bring you the opportunity to be inspired by author Genevieve Carver.
Genevieve will share an interactive talk about her first novel 'Ocean and Bones', with space for Q and A, and a few ideas to gets tarted with writing your own stories.
This event is targeted at children aged 8-14. Parents are welcome - but please book tickets for the number of people attending :) .

Genevieve Carver is part writer, part Water Spirit. She is the author of three books of poetry and has written and performed her work in locations including disused factories, uninhabited islands and offshore windfarms. She previously worked as an archaeologist and holds an MA in European Prehistory from the University of Sheffield. Genevieve now lives in Aberdeen, where she regularly immerses herself in the North Sea. The Ocean and the Bones is her first novel.
About Children's Writing Club:
Children's Writing Club is a fortnightly group for 9-14s at Upperthorpe Library, in Zest. We share writing prompts, games and activities based on fun and imagination rather than spelling and grammar. The group splits into ages 9-11 and 12-14 for age appropriate themes.
