What better way to start the holidays than with good wine, good food and good people? The BOSS Board is throwing a cozy holiday party at Donkey & Goat Winery in Berkeley, and you're invited. Come for a glass of wine, a cheese board, a raffle, and a holiday movie. Bring a friend or two, and stay as long as you like.
Every ticket and every gift you make that afternoon is an investment in Step Up, BOSS's supported independent living program right here in Berkeley.
ABOUT STEP UP
Step Up is BOSS's supported independent living program in Berkeley. Residents who once experienced homelessness live in stable housing with on-site support: case management, life skills classes, and peer support groups. Together they work toward jobs, education, family reunification, and lasting community.
This year BOSS marks 55 years of helping people come home. For Step Up residents, coming home means a stable place to live, a team in their corner and neighbors who believe they belong.
THE AFTERNOON
- 2:00 PM: Doors open. Grab your glass of wine and head to the cheese boards.
- About 2:45 PM: A few quick words and a short video about Step Up, then back to the party.
- All afternoon: Raffles, movie, holiday cheer and good company.

- Tickets: $35, which includes one glass of wine and the grazing table. More wine and other drinks are available at the winery's bar.

- Getting there: Free street parking is your best bet. Look along 5th Street and the nearby cross streets, Harrison Street and Camelia Street. This is a busy artisan neighborhood, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. If the street is full, you'll find public and paid parking around the Fourth Street shopping district, just a few blocks west.Coming by transit? North Berkeley BART is about 1.2 miles away, a quick rideshare or a 25-minute walk. Several AC Transit bus lines run along San Pablo Avenue and Gilman Street and stop a few blocks from the winery.
