Randolph County and Foundation Forward, Inc. have partnered to bring the Charters of Freedom to our community. A Ribbon Cutting and Time Capsule Ceremony will be held on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the setting, located at 147 Worth Street, Asheboro, North Carolina. The Charters of Freedom setting honors the foundational documents of freedom (Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Civil Rights Act) and the community's shared history. Holding the ceremony on Veterans Day places the dedication within a National Day of Remembrance and respect for those who have served.
The America 250 NC Randolph Committee has been planning the event as part of Revolutionary Randolph as these historical documents align with the celebration of America’s 250th Independence Anniversary.
Special thanks to Rudy Rich with Dal K. Rich & Son, Inc. for donating the brick for the Charters of Freedom setting. Also, appreciation goes to Randolph Electric Membership Corporation for being the event sponsor.
Make plans to join us for this meaningful occasion!
