About this Event
Chantraine Dance: "I breathe, I let go, I discover"
Learning through the Chantraine "5 times of life" - Rhythm, Inner Awareness, Technique, Creativity, and Choreography - you will discover a taste of a choreography from the Chantraine repertoire, through a teaching method infused with poetry, imagery, and meaning.
The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as dancers with experience in other styles who are new to Chantraine.
Created in France in 1958 by Françoise and Alain Chantraine the Chantraine School of Dance offers a holistic approach to dance: the Dance of Expression. It includes elements from contemporary, ballet, jazz and folk styles, as well as principles of yoga and Pilates. It unites the artistic, education and human dimensions of dance to support dancers of all abilities to understand and develop themselves in all aspects of movement.
