Join Central Florida RECON and our friends from St Johns Riverkeeper and Deviant Wolfe Brewing as we attend the monthly Keep Sanford Sparkling community cleanup in downtown Sanford. This monthly WALKING cleanup covers the business district of downtown Sanford; we will not launch kayaks during this event. We will be meeting at the parking lot next to the Goodwill and will have grabbers, gloves, buckets and garbage bags ready for the event.
Depending on the turnout, we may take a walk down to the Marina and see if we can find more trash by the water. If you would like to turn back early, please leave your equipment back where we start the event.
Prior to the event, we will take a group photo. After we have all returned, we will bag the trash and weigh it for the day's total haul.
Join us afterwards as we grab lunch at one of the many local restaurants in walking distance. Hope to see you there!
