A tile looks simple, until you make one. Join Belgian ceramist Cathy Deprez at Subtile for a hands-on two-day workshop where you'll learn to design, cut, glaze, and fire your own custom ceramic tiles for decorative panels, backsplashes, or architectural accents.
Over 4.5 hours split across two days (allowing the clay to dry properly), Cathy guides you through the entire sequence from your first drawing to the final fired surface. You'll gain hands-on technical skills while experiencing how much character a single square of clay can hold.
Set directly inside Subtile's rotating art exhibition space, this course combines technical learning with a warm, creative setting where participants naturally connect. Open to adults and teens aged 12 and up, no prior experience required.
