Centre for Integrative Anatomy Symposium
Anatomy: Past, Present & Future
You are warmly invited to join us, in person, for our full day UCL Centre for Integrative Anatomy Annual Symposium 2026, celebrating 200 years of UCL, on interdisciplinary aspects of Anatomy: Past, Present & Future. Our FREE event will delve into the fascinating world of anatomy and morphology, particularly focusing on our specialist area of the inter-relationship between form and function. Get ready to connect with experts and fellow enthusiasts in the field. To attend, please register with eventbrite (although free of charge and inclusive of all refreshments and lunch, registration is compulsory).
At this in-person gathering, you'll have the opportunity to engage in discussions, attend insightful lectures, and participate in plenty of informal opportunities for socialising and networking. Whether you're a student, researcher, or just someone curious about the anatomy and its inter-relation with fields such as palaeontology, biomechanics, imaging and the like, this symposium is the place to be!
We have a raft of confirmed speakers, who are predominantly in the early stages of their research career (so, ECRs) and who will provide (c. 15-minute) summaries of their latest work and findings. We also have notable keynote speakers in Tilli Tansey (Emerita Professor from Queen Mary University London, and a neurochemist famous for her Witness Seminar series held at the Wellcome Trust Centre), who will speak about the History of Anatomy at UCL, and Elsa Panciroli (a palaeobiologist and NERC Independent Research Fellow from National Museums Scotland) who will talk about early mammals from Scotland.
A full timetable of speakers and topics is below, from which you will see that there are ample opportunities for informal discussion and networking, in the two refreshment breaks and over an extended lunch period. After the official close of the meeting, we further invite attendees to join us in a local hostelry to continue socialising and sharing. The destination will be announced here in due course, but it will be just a few minutes’ walk from the conference venue.
Reserve your spot, free-of-charge, now and get ready for a day full of learning and networking!
