On 11/7/06 I began my career at Walmart. Many didn’t think I’d last a week, let alone 1 year! I did just that and set goals for every 5 years after that. My former co-worker whom I’m blessed to call mom celebrated every milestone along the way, and quietly cheered me on every single day. She was there on not just the good days, but the days I felt rejected only ever hearing the word no. In 2019 13 1/2 years into my career my mom was diagnosed with a terminal illness. At that time she asked me to make 1 final promise. She said, promise me you’ll finish what you started. Promise me you’ll make your 20 years with Walmart! This was the hardest promise I ever made, as I knew I’d be completing the biggest milestone without her. On November 6, 2026 I will keep that promise! I’ll hit my 20th anniversary! I’ve accomplished so much! Please come and celebrate a promise kept. I’m so grateful for all she did to help me get here. Join me to celebrate my 20th anniversary! If you’ve worked with me in the past, present, or you’ve known me my whole life come celebrate this big accomplishment. I’d like to get an idea of who may want to come so I can figure out for certainty where dinner can be held. Come celebrate this special day with me!
