About this Event
Every founder in this room has been told AI is coming for their business, and every investor has started asking about it in due diligence without quite knowing what a good answer sounds like.
This session isn't a talk about AI. It's an argument, run in the room, about which parts of a business genuinely hold their value as cognitive automation reshapes what customers pay for and why, and which parts only felt defensible because nobody had tested them yet.
Marc Richard, who chairs the AI Working Group behind the Investing Through Disruption framework and advises owner-managed businesses through exactly this kind of inflection point, will split the room by role, founders on one side, investors and angels on the other, and put live claims to a vote before, during, and after the debate. Expect to be asked to defend your own read on your own business, in front of the room, and possibly to change your mind by the end of it.
This is not a framework delivered from the front. It's sixty people finding out, in real time, whether what they believe about their own defensibility survives contact with an argument.
Format: Interactive, audience-split debate with live voting. Come ready to take a side.
Who it's for: Founders (particularly seed to Series A) thinking about what genuinely protects their business as AI reshapes competitive dynamics, and investors and angels sharpening how they assess defensibility in diligence.
Part of: Global Entrepreneurship Week at the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator Hub, Bristol. Runs 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
