About this Event
You can build almost anything now. That’s the problem.
No-code and AI mean a founder can go from idea to fully featured product in a weekend. The friction that used to force you to check whether anyone wanted it has gone. So most founders build first and find out later, often after months of work and a product nobody asked for.
This session puts a stop sign in that gap.
Richard Godfrey has spent fifteen years building software for startups at Rocketmakers, which means he has also watched a lot of it get built for no good reason. He’ll take you through what to build first to learn the most, how to tell a technical risk from a market risk, and the cheapest, fastest route to a straight answer. Sometimes that’s a prototype. Often it’s a form, a spreadsheet, or a process you run by hand.
What we’ll cover
- Scoping an MVP that answers your riskiest question, not your most interesting one
- Telling technical risk apart from market risk, and knowing which to K*ll first
- Build, measure, learn, applied to your actual roadmap
- Build versus buy, and when neither is the answer yet
- The cheapest test that still gives you something you can act on
Who it’s for
Early-stage founders, solo or in a small team, pre-revenue or early revenue. Especially useful if you are technical or coming out of research and you already know you can build it. The question is whether you should.
