Cash with Jobs · Decisions - part of the find your point (fyp) autumn programme.
£10,000 left in an account paying nothing is still £10,000 ten years later - but it buys about £7,587 of today’s life. Nobody takes it. It just buys less.
Most savings are quietly doing a fourth job - Idle, the one nobody chose. This evening we give every pound a real one:
• EMERGENCY - three to six months of essentials, instant access, sized to your own numbers in the room
• PLANNED - named and dated: the car, the deposit, the wedding, the tax bill
• SURPLUS - three years plus: the money that could be working harder
Then every job gets its home, simplest first: easy access (and the easy-access Cash ISA) · notice and fixed-rate accounts - lock or float at today’s rates · Premium Bonds, as they really are · Money Market Funds, last and given the time they need. And the wrapper decision over it all: Cash ISA against Lifetime ISA against Stocks & Shares ISA, including the April 2027 rule changes already announced. Interest is taxable - we work out your tax-free headroom in pounds, not percentages.
Every find your point (fyp) session sits at one of three levels: Foundations - assumes no prior knowledge · Decisions - assumes the basics and focuses on weighing up the choices · Optimise - focuses on improving what you already have. This session is Decisions.
WALK IN: with the basics - or just with your banking app.
WALK OUT: seeing how it all applies to your own unique circumstances - your own pots placed against the jobs and the homes, and one move worth considering, chosen by you.
Doors open 18:15 · session 18:30–20:00, facilitator-led with questions welcome throughout, closing with the interactive quiz and Q&A · Ten seats max. · £10.
ABOUT FIND YOUR POINT
Through small-group seminars and clear, jargon-free explanation, find your point concentrates on the handful of decisions that genuinely change a financial outcome: using allowances, starting early, and understanding the cost of inaction. The belief behind the work is straightforward - most financial neglect is behavioural, not informational. The right understanding simply has not reached the right person at the right time.
