For hundreds of years across the African continent, people have gathered to share stories that preserve and celebrate their beliefs, mythology, cultural identity, history, and community values. Master Storyteller Charlotte Blake Alston brings this rich tradition to life through captivating traditional and contemporary stories from African and African American oral and cultural traditions. Through expressive storytelling, music, and audience engagement, Charlotte invites audiences to experience the rhythm, humor, wisdom, and enduring power of stories passed from one generation to the next. Appropriate for all ages.

Info: You may enter through our front doors up the steps, or through the side double doors on Center Street with ramp accessibility. After you enter the building please proceed to the Lobby to check in. (We need to count our attendees.) The gallery spaces feature art exhibitions for your viewing pleasure.
