Gentle Learning DayA day for anyone who wants to learn holistic end-of-life care and how to support a loved one at the bedside — and the first step for those considering a vocational path into Soul Midwifery.
Who it's for
Anyone feeling called to become an end-of-life companion
Family and friends caring for someone with a terminal diagnosis
Health, care, or support professionals wanting to learn the holistic side of death and dying
Anyone at all — death touches all our lives eventually -
If you've been supporting someone and feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsure how to help, we understand.
We've been there too, and we'd love to meet you.
What you'll learn
The four stages of dying, and how to support each one
The Soul Midwife toolbox: soothing and gentle touch
Deep listening and tender conversation
How to facilitate a bedside vigil
Delivered in person and hands-on, in partnership with Felicity Warner and the School of Soul Midwives, the day offers simple, practical, emotional ways to be with someone at the end of life — while also caring for the carer.
Led by fully trained Soul Midwives and complementary therapists Anna Sadler and Christina Murt, the course was commissioned by NHS England in 2025 and received outstanding feedback.
Past participants report less fear, less overwhelm, and a greater sense of calm in caring for their loved ones.
