Candy Darling is our take on the sweeter side of the holidays. Glossy reds, ballet pinks, creamy whites, shiny ribbon, and flowers that look good enough to eat. Think vintage department store windows, candy counters, satin bows, glass ornaments, and Christmas turned up just enough.
The flowers do more of this than you'd expect. Picotee carnations come edged in red on white so cleanly they look painted. Ranunculus opens in ballet pink through ivory in the same bunch. Amaryllis brings the glossy red, and Sweet William does the whole striped thing in miniature.
In this hands-on class, we'll build a playful holiday arrangement out of all of it, worked through with satin ribbon, sugared fruit, and vintage glass. We'll cover how to make a sweet palette read expensive instead of saccharine, how to place a shiny surface so it catches light without taking over, and how far you can push something before it tips over. Nostalgic, glamorous, and delightfully over the top.
No experience required. All supplies included.
