About this Event
We are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Canadian Correctional Health Conference (CCHC), taking place April 2–3, 2027, at the Faculty Club, University of Toronto.
This is your opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Canada, share practical knowledge, explore emerging approaches to correctional health care, and help shape the future of this specialized field.
The CCHC will bring together provincial and federal correctional health professionals from across Canada for two days of education, collaboration, networking and discussion focused specifically on the unique challenges and opportunities of providing health care in correctional settings.
Why attend?
Correctional health care is a complex and specialized environment. Professionals working in this field face clinical, operational and policy challenges that are often very different from those encountered in other health-care settings.
The CCHC is designed to provide a dedicated forum where people who work in, lead, research, support and influence correctional health care can come together to learn from one another.
By attending, you will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with colleagues from across Canada's provincial and federal correctional health systems
- Share experiences, practical solutions and innovative approaches
- Learn from experts working with complex and challenging health conditions
- Discover emerging evidence, treatment approaches and models of care
- Build professional relationships and potential collaborations
- Contribute to conversations about the future of correctional health care in Canada
A program focused on the realities of correctional health care
The two-day program will explore a broad range of health issues encountered in correctional settings.
Through expert presentations, practical discussions and opportunities for collaboration, participants will explore evidence-informed practices, emerging treatment approaches, innovative models of care and strategies for improving health outcomes.
Our conference committee is developing a relevant, practical and engaging program, with knowledgeable speakers addressing some of the most prevalent and challenging health issues encountered in correctional environments.
Be part of the inaugural CCHC
The 2027 CCHC is the first national conference dedicated to bringing Canada's correctional health community together in this way.
Whether you are a health professional, researcher, administrator, policymaker or other professional involved in correctional health, we invite you to be part of this important new forum.
Mark your calendar for April 2–3, 2027, and plan to join us in Toronto.
