In September we’re back to School with a new course in a new place!🎺🎺🎒🎒
Maybe like us, after many years of hearing promises, climate emergency declarations and all the rest, you feel disillusioned about the power of government and policy to take any meaningful action on the climate crisis. Things feel so painfully slow. :///
Can policy save us? Can policy still do anything at all? And if it does, then how can we influence it?
Over four sessions we’ll be exploring the dilemmas and trade-offs of climate policy making, through big themes: ⚡Energy⚡ – ⛰️Nature⛰️ – 🍎Food🍎 – 🤖Technology🤖 (in this order)
Each session will combine lectures from experts with simulation games, where you’ll be stepping into the shoes of the people making the decisions. Could you do better than them? How?
Saturday 12.09 + Saturday 19.09 + Saturday 26.09 + Saturday 03.10
Come from 11.30am for a 12noon start :) Until 3pm

This is the first time we’re testing this format and we hope it’ll give you (and us) ideas and strategies to critically (re)engage with climate policy as citizens.
Also - we’re excited to do this at Jam in a Jar, where we’ll be opening a solarpunk café for the duration of the course, with delicious affordable plant-based food and hot drinks. 🥗☕
