About this Event
Enjoy time with your child while supporting their early learning and development in a fun, relaxed way. Share stories, explore pictures, learn early reading skills, sing songs, and play with simple instruments.
You’ll see how stories help your child understand what’s happening in a book, and how singing and rhyme build language, communication, and confidence. Your child will begin to copy your actions, take early “turns” in conversations through babbling, and imitate sounds and movements as their skills grow.
This group also supports you. Joining in with songs, stories, and shared activities can boost your own wellbeing and help you feel more confident in supporting your child’s development at home.
Together, you’ll explore activities that encourage school‑readiness skills, such as:
- counting
- mark‑making
- waving flags or streamers
- joining in with well‑loved action songs like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Over time, your child will enjoy longer stories, build a growing repertoire of songs, develop stronger movement skills, and feel more confident in new social situations.
