Finding Peace in a Distracted World
Saturday–Sunday, October 10–11, 2026
10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
On Friday evening, October 9, Venerable Geshe Kunchok will bestow the Vajrasattva Initiation. Vajrasattva is an important figure in Tibetan Buddhist practice associated with purification. Vajrasattva meditation and mantra practice are traditionally used to purify negative actions and habits, remove obstacles, and create positive conditions for spiritual development.
The weekend will continue on October 10–11 with a two-day course titled “Calm-Abiding (Shamatha) Meditation: Finding Peace in a Distracted World.”
During the course, Venerable Geshe Kunchok will introduce simple and practical meditation methods designed to help participants develop greater concentration, mental stability, clarity, and inner peace. Calm-abiding meditation is a traditional Buddhist practice for training the mind to become more focused and less distracted, and the methods can also be applied in everyday life.
The programs are especially suitable for those who are interested in learning meditation for the first time, as well as experienced practitioners wishing to deepen their practice.
All teachings are offered freely, and donations are welcome. Everyone is welcome
