About this Event
In this 2-hour hands-on workshop you'll:
• Learn the geometry and rhythm behind square Kufic script
• Sketch and compose a word or phrase of your choice (Bismillah, Alhamdulillah, a name, or a favourite word)
• Paint it in acrylic on a stretched canvas
• Add gold or silver leaf accents for a luxe finish
No experience needed. Guided step-by-step instruction in a small group of adults, with plenty of one-on-one help. You'll leave with a completed canvas ready to hang or gift.
Your instructor, Nargis Khan, is a professional visual artist and painting instructor with over 20 years of experience who has taught more than 200 adult students in Toronto.
What's included: canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, gold/silver leaf, tea and coffee.
