Wollstonecraft, Weber and others have used the metaphor of life in a cage to call for social change and liberation. We explore those ideas, how they interlink and spill into sociology, psychology, politics, and more.
Bio:
Robin Herne is Course Leader for Sociology at the University and Professional Development Centre, as well as a storyteller, poet, artist, and broadcaster. Robin has published poetry, fiction, and academic work, and is a founding member of Clan Ogma and the Ipswich Pagan Council. He was also honoured as the first Chief Bard of the Fens. His lectures blend scholarship with creativity, bringing history and belief systems vividly to life.
