Praised as “brilliantly fresh, unexpected and exhilarating” (The Scottish Herald) and for their “superb storytelling by four great communicators” (The Strad), the Maxwell Quartet has become one of Britain’s most acclaimed ensembles. After rapturous receptions on previous visits, they return to Bay Chamber with a program that places their much-loved re-imaginings of traditional Scottish folk dances alongside Brahms’ magnificent A Minor Quartet.
