Are you a gardener who’s big on birds? Curious about caterpillars? A booster for bees? Or are you simply curious as to why everyone is suddenly talking about native plants? The Mid-Coast Audubon‘s series of nature talks in partnership with the Camden Public Library continues on Tuesday, November 17, at 6:30 PM in person at Camden Public Library with Kelly Corbin all about Ecological Gardening. Join ecological landscape designer and coach Kelly Corbin, owner of Living Landscapes Maine, for “Ecological Gardening 101: How to Create Habitat at Home”. We’ll delve into why ecological gardening matters, the critical role these gardens can play, and the steps you can take to create vibrant habitat for birds, bees, and other forms of local wildlife right in your own yard.
Kelly Corbin, owner of Living Landscapes Maine, offers garden coaching and consulting services so that her clients feel ready to take on the wonderful work of transitioning their yards into functional and beautiful spaces that offer habitat and refuge to all visitors. She is a former science teacher and environmental educator with degrees from The Conway School of Landscape Design and Antioch University New England.
Mid-Coast Audubon is a chapter of Audubon, and affiliated with Maine Audubon. We cover the midcoast inland from Boothbay Harbor, west to Windsor and China, and east along the coast to Bucksport. Our mission is to promote long-term, responsible use of natural resources through informed membership, education and community awareness.
