October 2–4, 2026 · Caesar Creek State Park Campground
Every mile of singletrack at Caesar Creek exists because somebody showed up with a tool in their hands. The CORA Caesar Creek Trail Crew has spent this season clearing, benching, armoring, and draining, most of it on weekends when they could have been riding instead. We're throwing them a campout, and everyone's invited.
Friday
Roll in whenever you can, set up camp, and grab a spot around the fire. Some of you will sneak in a lap before dark. Some of you will crack something cold and catch up. Both are correct.
Saturday — Ride for the Crew, All Levels Welcome
Rides leave at 10. There's a beginner group with certified coaching that's genuinely no-drop, so if you've been meaning to try mountain biking, this is the one to try it on. It's back around noon. There's an intermediate group that is going out at 1230 PM to do an abbreviated ride on the intermediate trails.
The longer group links up Harveysburg, Ward Road, and the campground loop and rolls back sometime between 3 and 4. Bring a snack and a full hydration bladder. Pick whichever fits your day.
Grills fire up in the evening for a potluck dinner. Bring something to share. Then the campfire, where the stories get taller by the hour.
Sunday — Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day
The last morning belongs to the kids. Skills games, obstacle challenges, and short guided rides built entirely around young riders. Coach on hand, snacks all morning, no racing and no clock. Just kids finding out they can do more on a bike than they thought.
After the kids ride, there will be another abbreviated ride on the intermediate trails at 1230pm if there are any takers.
Camping Friday and Saturday Night:
This is mostly tent camping in the open field under the water tower. There's plenty of room out there, so you don't need to reserve anything or claim a spot early. Just show up.
Drive up to the field to unload your tent, cooler, and gear, then move your vehicle to the large lot at the campground entrance and walk back in. It's a short walk. We keep cars off the grass so the field stays open for the Sunday kids activities.
If you need electricity, or you're bringing a camper or an RV, book your own site now at ohiostateparks.reserveamerica.com. Volunteers will be in sites nearest the water tower at 099 through 105. Grabbing sites near one of those puts you right in the middle of everything. Early October fills up, so don't wait on it.
What to bring
A bike, a helmet, a tent, a dish for the potluck, and layers for a cold October night. All riders sign a CMBC waiver, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian signature.
Free and open to everyone. Come ride the trails. Come thank the people who built them.
