About this Event
Every year we host a spectacular, one-of-a-kind event in conjunction with the CPKC holiday train. We are uniquely situated right along the tracks so that our view is like no other. Carolers, live music, bonfires, hot chocolate and warm donuts, warming spices & bourbon. We're offering levels of cozy you cannot even begin to imagine. We've got it all and it's one hell of a night. This event is what keeps our lights on and we hope you'll join us!
WHERE: Carbon Athletic Club- 111 Gates St. Detroit, MI 48209
WHO: All ages! Members & non-members! Ticket prices include an auxiliary membership fee.
WHEN: 6-11pm (train usually rolls through anytime between 8p-10pm)
HOW: $10 entry gets you in the door Kids 12 and under are free!
WHAT: Pre-sale tickets get you a free little gift from our sponsors.
FOOD: Hot dogs and chili on the menu this year! We'll also be serving up some warm cinnamon donuts, pretzels, popcorn and more.
BEVERAGE: Hot chocolate with a shot of peppermint schnapps sounds great, doesn't it?
THINGS TO NOTE:
- Dress warm! We'll have the bonfires going but our capacity is only 110 inside the building so you'll likely be spending the majority of your time outdoors. We'll also have hand warmers for sale!
- We are CASH ONLY for most items! Please come prepared and with smaller bills please.
- We will have designated parking with scheduled security. Please be sure to use these lots and avoid keeping valuables in your car.
- We can never be sure the train will be lit. Every year we hear rumblings that it won't be, as the section of rail line is not CPKC owned (or something?). We believe we continue to see the lights because we are a well-behaved group and have not experienced any safety issues as of yet. Please be respectful of the Club and the rail line so you don't ruin it for all of us next year.
