About this Event
The Baldwin Ensemble: Andrew Wu and Jenny Wan, violins; Jacqueline Hanson, viola; Ivana Biliskov, cello, will present a program exploring the roots and evolution of folk music. The performance will highlight how songs and stories passed through oral tradition preserve lived experience and cultural history. The group will perform Vaughan Williams’ Quartet No. 2, Juba by Florence Price and Eight Chinese Folk Songs by Zhou Long.
Additionally, you’ll experience unique and exciting repertoire performed by flutist Francesca Leo DeLouis and saxophonist Christopher DeLouis. Their portion of the program includes Four Little Duets by Giuseppe Gariboldi arranged by former DSO flutist Shaul Ben-Meir, Variations on a Theme of Prokofieff by William Schmidt and more.
