Splòdar Theatre Company present a new play: BYSTANDERS by Dave Mc EvoyThursday 8 October 2026 to Saturday 10 October 2026 at 8pm each night
Tickets: €15/€12
1975, Strabane and Lifford face each other across a river that never asked to be a border, ordinary life goes on. Bread is bought. Children are raised. Televisions are repaired and rented. In the spaces between the checkpoints and the blasts, people get on with life and love. Bystanders is a play about the people history forgets. Not the gunmen or the politicians, but the ones caught between them It is a play about loyalty and silence and questions with no right answers. Funny, warm, and quietly devastating, Bystanders asks the question that the Troubles asked of everyone who lived through them.
