Butter is more than just butter.Join FAPC for Butter Believe It, a hands-on workshop exploring the science, history and techniques behind one of the world’s most familiar foods.
Participants will learn about:
• cream chemistry, emulsions and churning
• traditional and modern butter-making techniques
• butter tasting and sensory evaluation
• cultured and compound butters
• butter washing, working and shaping
• buttermilk and co-products
Participants will also take home butter products, wooden butter paddles, a workshop handbook, recipes and reference guides.
Cost: $140 per person
Lunch and refreshments are provided.
