New ideas and conversations for gardeners, designers and ecologists
Graft is a new programme that brings together people in Scotland interested in projects that make a difference: each event includes a presentation of original ideas about how plants and landscapes are changing, followed by an introduction to a selection of plants from St Andrews Botanic Garden.
The focus of each event is on conversation, bringing people together from different professional backgrounds and interests to share news and ideas about how we can work together and learn.
This month, Nick Burton and Duncan Hall from Burton Hall Garden Design will explore how they have approached planting design for gardens set in some of Scotland's wildest landscapes. Drawing on some of their ongoing projects they will discuss how the character of the wider landscape informs plant choices and design.
