The city is loud. This hour is not.
Welcome to Bunny Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto. It is quieter than people expect. Slower, too. And that turns out to be exactly what most people need on a Wednesday in December.
Bunnies are prey animals. They do not bound over the moment you walk in. They read the room. They notice your breathing. They extend trust carefully, and this class is built entirely around that pace. Which means the class asks something of you: slow down, soften, and let the session come to you.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of quiet connection time, where the bunnies may approach you on their own terms
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Bunny yoga works because it asks everyone to slow down. There is no performance here. You are not trying to impress anyone, least of all a bunny who has already decided to take its time with you. When one finally hops over and settles nearby, your nervous system just... exhales. People leave this class feeling genuinely reset in a way that is hard to explain and easy to feel.
The most important rule: stay on your mat
Your yoga mat is your designated space for the full session. Staying on it is not just good etiquette. It is how we keep the bunnies safe. Wandering off your mat startles them and breaks the trust the class is working to build. Please use an actual yoga mat. Mats can be rented at reception if you do not have one. Non-yoga grip towels are not an acceptable substitute.
A few things to know before you come
Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts. The session begins on time and doors lock at start to protect everyone's belongings. Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Wear clean, comfortable fitness attire and leave dangling jewelry or accessories at home. There are no spectators at this event. Everyone in the room participates. Disruptive behavior may result in removal at the instructor's discretion. The more calmly you engage with the yoga, the more likely the bunnies are to wander your way. The bunnies are litter-trained, but occasional accidents do happen and are cleaned up promptly.
Kids and families
This class is family-friendly. Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian who also participates and helps the child move gently and handle the animals with care. For children under 7, a 1:1 adult-to-child ratio is required. For children ages 7 and older, one adult may accompany up to four children. If you need an exception to these ratios, please reach out to [email protected] before booking.
Rescheduling, transfers, and refunds
All tickets are final sale. There are no refunds for missed sessions. Rescheduling is allowed up to three weeks before class with a 50% rescheduling fee per ticket. Requests made after that window cannot be accommodated. Tickets are transferable to another person if you can no longer attend. If the studio cancels the session, attendees receive a full refund or alternative arrangements. Genuine emergencies may be considered case by case with appropriate documentation. Approved emergency refunds are subject to a 5% merchant processing fee.
Every detail of this class is designed to keep the session calm, safe, and meaningful for the bunnies and for you. We appreciate you being part of that.
