Slow down. The bunnies will notice.
Welcome to Bunny Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto. It is quieter than people expect. The room softens, the pace drops, and somewhere in the middle of a gentle stretch, a bunny decides you might be worth investigating.
Bunnies are prey animals. They do not bound over like puppies. Trust is something they extend slowly, on their own terms, and this class is built entirely around that pace. The slower and calmer you are, the more likely you are to have a bunny settle near you. That is the whole point.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of quiet connection time, where the bunnies may approach you on their own terms
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Bunny yoga works because it asks everyone to slow down. There is no performing, no rushing, and no checking your phone. You show up, you breathe, and your nervous system just... exhales. The bunnies are the reason, and also the reward.
The most important rule: stay on your mat
Your yoga mat is your designated space for the entire session. Staying on your mat is not just a courtesy, it is how we keep the bunnies safe. Stepping or wandering off your mat can startle them and break the trust the class works to build. Mats are required and can be rented at reception if you do not have one. Non-yoga grip towels are not an acceptable substitute.
A few things to know before you come
Please arrive 15 minutes before class. The session starts on time and the doors are locked once we begin to protect everyone's belongings. Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Wear clean, comfortable fitness attire with no dangling accessories that could catch a bunny's attention in the wrong way. There are no spectators at this event. Everyone in the room participates. Disruptive behavior may result in removal at the instructor's discretion. The more calmly and genuinely you engage with the yoga, the more likely the bunnies are to wander your way. The bunnies are litter-trained, but occasional accidents happen and are cleaned up promptly.
Families and kids
This class is family-friendly. Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian who also participates and helps the child move gently and handle the bunnies with care. For children under 7, we ask for a 1:1 adult-to-child ratio. For children ages 7 and older, one adult may accompany up to four children. If you need an exception to these ratios, please reach out to us at [email protected] before booking.
Rescheduling, transfers, and refunds
All tickets are final sale. There are no refunds for missed sessions. If you need to reschedule, you may do so up to three weeks before your class date for a 50% rescheduling fee per ticket. Requests made after that window cannot be accommodated. Tickets are transferable to another person if you cannot attend. If the studio needs to cancel a session, you will receive a full refund or we will work out alternative arrangements with you. Genuine emergencies may be considered on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation. Approved emergency refunds are subject to a 5% merchant processing fee.
We put a lot of care into keeping each session calm, safe, and meaningful, for the bunnies and for the people who come to spend an hour with them. Thank you for being part of that.
