About this Event

Planning for aging, change, and life’s final chapters can feel heavy. Many people wait too long to talk about finances, legal wishes, housing, healthcare, and legacy.

This workshop series offers a practical, step-by-step way to start those conversations now. Whether you are planning for yourself, supporting aging parents, or thinking ahead for your family, you will learn how to make informed choices with confidence.

Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions, as each builds upon the last. However, every session stands alone. You will gain helpful tools, resources, and next steps, even if you attend only one. Giveaways and special materials will be provided at each workshop, with a bonus item for those who complete the full series.

Session 1: Conversations - March 9 (4:30 - 6:30 PM)During the first session, we will focus on the different types of conversations we need to have with ourselves, our loved ones, and professionals as we age. We will share our insight, questions that open doors, and ways to include loved ones with respect. Attendees will leave with a list of conversations and a gentle plan to guide them.

Session 2: Make a Plan - June 11 (4:30 - 6:30 PM)Our second session will focus on planning tools: legal documents, financial considerations, safe housing choices, and early end-of-life preferences. We will show you how to outline priorities, set goals, and identify what needs attention now versus later.

Session 3: Take Action - September 17 (4:30 - 6:30 PM)The third session covers downsizing strategies, transitioning to a new living environment, preparing the home for safety and/or sale, and updating legal and financial records. You will learn practical steps that turn ideas into real progress.

Session 4: Final Plans - December 3 (4:30 - 6:30 PM)Our final session will explore final wishes, legacy projects, the role of healthcare agents, preparing power of attorney and executor documents for their responsibilities, funeral considerations, and attendees will receive resources to document choices your loved ones can follow, bringing peace and purpose. Learn how to reduce emotional burden, avoid conflict, and leave a clear plan.
