About this Event

🎭 BT Performance is BACK!

Love performing? Curious to try new theatre styles? Want to meet other young people who love being on stage as much as you do? BT Performance is your weekly space to explore, experiment, and make friends while building your confidence and skills.

Whether you’re just starting out or already have some experience, every session is designed to help you grow, try new ideas, and have fun with a supportive group of peers.

What You’ll Get Up To

🎬 Build Your Performance Skills Learn acting, movement, ensemble work, and devising - the techniques that make theatre come alive.

🌟 Explore Your Creativity Each term focuses on a different theme or style, giving you the chance to try new approaches and develop your own artistic voice.

🤝 Make Friends & Collaborate Work together to create original performances. Share your work in Christmas and Easter sharings, and take part in a big summer production in 2026.

💡 Learn From Theatre Pros Get guidance and inspiration from experienced facilitators who will help you develop your talent and try new things.

🗣️ Build Confidence & Expression Develop communication skills, stage presence, and self-confidence - all in a fun, inclusive environment.

Why we offer tiered membership:

We’re committed to making our youth programme accessible to everyone.

As a charity, we receive some funding to deliver our creative programmes – but this doesn’t cover all of our costs. To help us keep our classes affordable and open to as many young people as possible, we've introduced a tiered pricing structure for our termly membership.

Here’s how it works:

  • Everyone gets the same great classes, led by professional artists.
  • You choose the price that feels right for your family.
  • If you’re in a position to give a little more, you can opt for the 'Help Us' tier to support the programme’s long-term sustainability.

It’s a simple 'Help Us, Help You' approach – you choose what you can afford, and every contribution goes directly into keeping our programme inclusive and high-quality.

Bursaries availableWe also offer no-questions-asked bursaries for families who need extra support. Please speak to Dulcie for more information.

Thank you for helping us keep Barbican Theatre Youth a vibrant and welcoming space for every young person who wants to explore their creativity.
