About this Event
Pullman National Historical Park tells the story of the civil rights and labor struggle of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. While we often discuss the direct actions that they took in their fight against the Pullman Company, their fight did not stop there. Many members of the Brotherhood went on to be core pieces of the Civil Rights Movement, and the organizational roots of the union was a major reason that the Civil Rights Movement was able to have the success that it did.
