Learn to make your own paper from recycled materials with Lulu Chang
About this Event

Join local artist Lulu Chang to transform recycled paper into beautiful handmade sheets infused with dried flowers and plants. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of papermaking—from pulping old books and newspapers to pressing and drying your own unique creations. Experiment with textures, colors, and natural elements to craft one-of-a-kind paper perfect for writing, drawing, or mixed-media art.

What’s Included:

  • Learn the basics of papermaking like how to make your own pulp from recycled materials and form your sheets
  • All materials will be provided including a mould and deckle, recycled paper, inks for drying and dried flowers for embedding into your sheets. Note: If you have recycled paper or tissue paper at home, feel free to bring it in to experiment with!
  • You’ll get to make 2–3 one of kind, letter-sized sheets

Extra Notes:

The handmade sheets take 1–3 days to dry and will not be available to take home at the end of class. Once the sheets are dried, we’ll notify you that they’re ready for pick up at Lot’sa. If you foresee not being able to return to Lot’sa for pick-up, we can offer a $5 shipping option at the end of class.

Workshop Tickets are Final Sale and not eligible for refunds:

  • Our Workshop Tickets are like concert or event tickets - they are non-refundable but are transferable to a different person. If you find yourself unable to attend a workshop, you may find some one to take your place.
  • If someone else will be taking your ticket, Email Us and let us know their name so we can add it to our list.
