Last year, I launched Broken Bones and shared the story that had remained within me for more than 61 years. However, publishing the book was not the end of the story. In many ways, it was only the beginning.
Since then, so much has happened.
New truths have come to light, including the devastating details recorded by my auntie. Extraordinary people have entered my life and changed it forever. I have received treatment that has helped me understand and process my past, and I have begun to see just how far one choice, the decision to tell my story, could take me.
Now, I would love you to join me for Broken Bones: The Story So Far.
Over nibbles and a glass of wine, we will have an open and honest conversation about the book, what happened after it was published, the discoveries I have made and the people who have supported me along the way.
Nothing is off limits, and no genuine question is out of bounds.
This will not be a heavy evening. It will be uplifting, honest and full of hope, a celebration of life, healing and the choices we can make, even after the most difficult beginnings.
