About this Event
Building and Construction businesses are managing tighter cash flow, pressure on margins and the most significant tax changes the industry has faced since the GST, all at the same time.
We've teamed up with Xact Accounting to offer members a free, private one-hour consultation on Xact's Caine Barends and David Holzgrefe will work through your specific circumstances and give you tailored advice on the issues that matter most to your business right now.
In each session, Caine and David will run a health check on your business and your tax and licensing position, and show you anything that could be placing your business at risk.
Questions you can bring on the day:
Cash flow and margin
- How do you protect cash flow against margin pressure, late progress claims, retentions and rising costs?
- In a tighter market, what margin should you be quoting for the specific work you do, and how do you defend that margin?
- How much margin is in your contracted jobs, and will it cover your overheads over the coming months?
Tax reform and QBCC
- What do the changes to discretionary trusts, capital gains tax and negative gearing mean for a business like yours?
- How should your property developments be structured and funded?
- Does your business meet the QBCC Minimum Financial Requirements (MFRs), and what could put your licence at risk?
