About this Event
Pregnancy and childbirth bring massive changes to the body, yet new and expecting parents are rarely given a physical recovery roadmap. This workshop bridges that gap!
Led by pelvic floor physical therapist Kirstyn Richards, this hands-on, practical class will help you better understand how your body changes during pregnancy and postpartum and give you real tools to rebuild core strength from the inside out, protect your pelvic health, and move with confidence.
What you'll learn:
- How to manage pelvic girdle and back pain and prepare your pelvic floor for birth
- What to expect during postpartum recovery and how to manage concerns like bladder leaks, prolapse, and C-section or tearing scars
- How your diaphragm, core, and pelvic floor work together to support your body
- Practical tips for posture, lifting, breathing, and everyday movement
- A foundational breathing technique to help connect and coordinate your deep core
- How to safely check for diastasis recti and better understand abdominal separation
- How to return to running and other exercise with confidence
We'll wrap up with an interactive Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask questions about your own symptoms, fitness goals, or unique situation.
A gentle reminder: Our classes have limited space, and we’d love for every spot to be enjoyed by a family in our community. If your plans change and you’re no longer able to attend, please let us know at [email protected] so we can open your spot to another family.
