About this Event
Half Day Insight Retreat
with Vy Lê and Kid Beyond
Boundless Love is an embodied exploration of the wide open heart. Through the Buddhist practices of loving-kindness and compassion, we’ll learn how to release the grip of the judging mind — meeting ourselves and others with tenderness and deep acceptance.
With guided meditations, somatic exercises, discussion, and sweet song, you’ll come away with vital tools for bringing joy, connection, and well-being to your daily life.
All are welcome to join, regardless of meditation experience!
Vy V. Lê was raised in a culturally Buddhist Vietnamese family steeped in the compassionate teachings of Kuan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Her devotion to Kuan Yin deeply informs her approach to mindfulness practice and her dedication to fostering a space of compassion, gentleness, and growth for all beings. Vy’s practice is grounded in the belief that compassion and softness, like Kuan Yin’s infinite kindness, is at the heart of all transformation.
Certified through UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center, Vy has been guiding teens, young adults, professionals, healthcare providers, and retirees in integrating mindfulness and compassion into their daily lives. She holds the designation of Certified Mindfulness Teacher through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association, and served as their Program Manager.
Her training in Focusing, a somatic approach developed by Gene Gendlin, reflects her deep commitment to helping beings listen to their bodies’ wisdom and navigate life’s challenges with heartfulness. Vy facilitated the teen program at Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City, teaches online mindfulness programs at UCLA MARC and eMindful, and mentors teen retreats with Inward Bound Mindfulness Education and Spirit Rock. She currently facilitates teen mental health programs with Healthy Campus.
Kid Beyond is a dharma teacher, soul singer, songleader, and soul guide. He is devoted to helping hearts open to love, aliveness, wisdom, and healing.
Trained and authorized by Spirit Rock, in the Thai Forest lineage of Buddhism, he has guided thousands of students in his classes, workshops, and retreats.
He has taught mindfulness in the US Congress; led the SF County J*il’s meditation and yoga program; guided adults and teens at Spirit Rock; led the weekly Heart Camp sangha for 6 years; taught mindful men’s groups; and served as a Fitbit Mindfulness Advisor, bringing well-being practices to corporations, the military, and government.
His Love Warrior music has riveted audiences around the world — playing festivals such as Coachella and SXSW, and opening for James Brown, Ray Charles, Michael Franti, Imogen Heap, LL Cool J, and many more. He has led song circles and workshops in vocal exploration and embodiment for over 30 years.
