BOUNDARIES FEST 2026! LETS GO.....
The 6th edition of Boundaries Festival is coming back to the fantatsic City of Sunderland for another incredible, exciting and inspiring event!
Just like every year this is promising to be our biggest, boldest, exciting and most diverse edition yet!
This year’s Boundaries programme takes in a huge range of experimental sounds and experiences, from acoustic to electronic, solo performances, duos and full bands, violin, saxophone, experimental guitar, live electronica, immersive electronics, huge bass, fractured beats, analogue synths, free improvisation, noise, feedback, tape loops, field recordings, drone and deep spatial sound ideas.
Expect rare and unique shows, unexpected collaborations, live art, audiovisual work, art screenings, workshops and much more, moving from intense and physical performances, calm and complex and some of the most beautiful sounds around!

ALEJANDRA CÁRDENAS (ALE HOP) + GIBRANA CERVANTES + IGNACIO BRICEÑO — A stunning trio combining guitar, samples, feedback, field recordings and electronics, performing music from A Body Like Home.
SLIKBACK — Loud, dark and futuristic electronics from Kenya, driven by huge bass and fractured, next-level beats.
NINA GARCIA — French-Colombian experimental guitarist exploring noise, feedback, extended techniques and free improvisation.
JESSICA EKOMANE — Berlin-based electronic artist creating deep, immersive and spatial sound through her powerful quadraphonic live set.
ELORI SAXL & HENRY SOLOMON — A beautiful NYC/LA collaboration bringing together analogue electronics, synths, saxophone, melody and improvisation.
DRESSING — Dublin experimentalist working with tape loops, samples, noise and found sounds to create raw and unpredictable performances.
JOHN BUTCHER — Legendary improvising saxophonist exploring resonance, silence, space and the physical possibilities of the instrument.
KOGUMAZA — Immersive UK trio combining guitar, drums, riffs, drone and hypnotic repetition with a heavy emotional pull.

Each year, Boundaries grows and with this year we’re bringing more locations, more artists, more performances and as always a wealth of inspired artists ideas and methods.
