Join local artist Jenny to learn the fundamentals of screen-printing using paper stencils.
Under her guidance, you will design and hand-cut your own stencils (or trace provided templates) to create a unique print. Explore using a range of natural dyes and pH modifiers to achieve a complex, layered piece of art to take home.
This workshop includes a full demonstration and step-by-step guidance on creating your print and mixing custom colours. We will begin with an introduction to the required materials and the preparation processes for making the natural dyes. Jenny will also share valuable resources and techniques to empower you to make your own natural dye inks and PH modifiers for printmaking at home.
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners and those wishing to further explore the medium. Participants are welcome to come with ideas and sketches, or simply find inspiration and get creative on the day. All materials are provided.
