About this Event
Borshch Time began in Cambridge in March 2025 as a Ukrainian community lunch: a way to bring people together around Ukrainian food, culture and a shared table. This cookery day is a chance to take part in the initiative’s next chapter — by learning, cooking and sharing Ukrainian food together.
A day in the Borshch Time kitchen
Join two of the women behind the food at Borshch Time. Yaryna, Borshch Time’s chef, is a professionally trained cook. Nadiia regularly prepares the cakes and pies served at Borshch Time lunches.
11:00 am–2:00 pm | Ukrainian Borshch Masterclass & Shared Lunch
Cook Ukrainian borshch with Yaryna, learn about its ingredients and techniques, then set the table and enjoy the meal together.
3:00–7:00 pm | Ukrainian Baking Workshop
Spend the afternoon baking with Nadiia and discovering the Ukrainian cakes and pies she brings to the Borshch Time table.
These are two separate sessions with separate tickets. Choose one session or book the Full Day Pass to attend both. There will be a one-hour break between sessions while the kitchen is reset.
Whether you already know Ukrainian food or are discovering it for the first time, you’re warmly welcome. Come on your own or bring a friend, learn new skills and share a table with the Borshch Time community.
